In Class:  Half Reactions.  (Chapter 9:12 to 9:14)

Expectations:  Students will be able to write half reactions for redox reactions.

Due:  The Oxidizing and Reducing Agents worksheet.

Homework:  Finish the Half Reactions worksheet and here is the Half Reactions Key to check your work.

2 May 2024:

In Class:  Electrochemistry:  Voltaic Cells.  (Chapter 9:12 to 9:19)

Expectations:  Students will be able to describe a voltaic cell and write half reactions for voltaic cells.

Electrochemistry:  Electrolytic Cells.  (Chapter 9:25 to 9:27)

Expectations:  Students will be able to interpret cell diagrams and identify redox elements in a reaction.

Due:  The Half Reactions worksheet.

Homework:  Finish the Voltaic Cells worksheet and the Electrolytic Cells worksheet.

4 May 2024:

No Class:  Chemistry does not meet on Thursday.

5 May 2024:

Lab 28:  Run two trials to standardize the NaOH solution for the Standardizing NaOH Lab.

Expectations:  Students will be able to do a titration and calculate the concentration of the unknown.

In Class:  Practice a run for the Standardizing NaOH Lab.

Expectations:  Students will be able to identify saturation levels of solutions.

29 March 2024:

Lab 22:
Complete the Solutions Lab.

8 May 2023:

In Class:  Introduction to Hydrocarbons.  (Chapter 10:1)

Expectations:  Students will be able to name the types of organic formulas.

Due:  The Voltaic Cells and the Electrolytic Cells worksheets.
