Lab 24:
Finish data analysis for the Millikan’s Oil Drop Simulation Lab.

Expectations:  Students will be able to use Excel to graph data and find the charge on an electron.

26 April 2022:

In Class:  Energy Levels of Mercury.

Expectations:  Students will be able to solve energy level transition problems for mercury atoms.

Due:  Pages 5:47 ( 22 ) and 5:48-49 (43 – 49).

Homework:  Page 5:49 (50 – 52).

27 April 2022:

In Class:  Excitation and Energy Level Diagrams of Unknown Substances.

Expectations:  Students will be able to interpret transitions on energy level diagrams.

Due:  Page 5:49 (50 – 52).

Homework:  Page 5:47 (23 – 27).

28 April 2022:

No Class:  Physics does not meet on Thursdays.

29 April 2022:

In Class:  Absorption and Energy Levels.

Expectations:  Students will be able to interpret transitions on energy level diagrams.

Lab:  The Atom, Introduction to Antimatter Particles, and Einstein's Theory:

  • E = mc 2 
  • E= energy
    m= mass
    c= speed of light in a vacuum
