  • KE = kinetic energy
    m= mass
    v= velocity or speed
  • Expectations:  Students will be able to solve kinetic energy problems.

    Lab 5:
    Data collection and analysis of Right on Target Lab.

    Expectations:  Students will be able to solve for distance and velocity in two dimensions.

    Due:  Pages 2:55-56 (44 – 52).

    Homework:  Pages 2:56-57 (53 – 61).

    14 November 2023:

    In Class:  The Conservation of Energy:

  • ETPEKEQ
  • ET = total energy
    PE= potential energy
    KE= kinetic energy
    Q= internal energy  (ideally Q = 0, otherwise Q = air resistance or friction)
  • Expectations:  Students will be able to solve conservation of energy problems.

    Due:  Pages 2:56-57 (53 – 61).

    Homework:  Pages 2:58-60 (62 – 74).

    15 November 2023:

    In Class:  Finish and review the Topic 2 Section 3 Practice Exam.
