  • IC 4715, M24, is sometimes considered an open cluster
  • in Sagittarius but it is actually a window through the
  • dust clouds in the Milky Way that allows us to see
  • stars from the far side of our galaxy.  NGC 6603,
  • a true open cluster, is also visible just below
  • and to the right of center.  In the bottom
  • left corner is M17, the Omega Nebula.
